Questions?
Where, when, how much?

Accommodation is provided from the 24th through the morning of the 28th of July 2024. St Mary's is very conveniently located a short walk from Haymarket station with a direct tram link to Edinburgh Airport and convenient rail links to the rest of Scotland and England. Am I eligible?
The Scottish International Tuba Festival course is open to tuba players at an advanced level looking to hone their skills and take the next step in their careers. There is no upper age limit, however for 2024 applicants must be 18 years of age at the start of the course. That said, there will be opportunities for tuba players of all ages and abilities to attend many parts of the course as observers, so sign up for our email list, check out our events page, and we'll keep you posted!
What do I need for the application?
We've done our best to make the application process as straightforward as possible. We start off with a few basic questions about who you are, your age (for eligibility), and your nationality (for potential entry visa issues), then some questions about your musical background, what you're currently working on, and what your goals are. You can upload a CV or biography here, or fill out details in the the space provided. After that there's a space for you to paste a link to your video submission of the required audition list. The application finishes with some optional questions about how you heard of us and if you want to join our email list.
Wait, a video submission? With a link??
Yes! We want to hear you at your best, so take your time, practice the list. record a few versions, and send us the complete take that best represents yourself. There's no need to get your video professionally done on high level equipment; a smartphone recording will be fine. Just make sure we can see you, and the full instrument, in clear view. After that, upload it to YouTube or Vimeo or another similar site (via private link if you wish) and copy the link into the application form. If you're not quite sure what this entails, here's a HowTo for YouTube and Vimeo.
